West Ham United are in danger of losing out on the signing of William Carvalho, according to Le 10 Sport.
The French site claim that Paris Saint-Germain want to hijack the Hammers’ transfer. Apparently, they see the Portugal international as an ideal replacement for Blaise Matuidi, the veteran midfielder who just moved to Juventus.
Is it true?
We can’t see there being too much of a real chance of PSG signing Carvalho. While he is a world class player who could play for the French giants, they’re tied up by FFP regulations. Their next signing of the summer will be their last.
Reports indicate that Kylian Mbappe is on his way to Paris in a huge transfer. So no Carvalho deal.
West Ham look like they’ll see this deal through. Having said that, Sporting Club could jack up the price of their prized asset if they hear that PSG are genuinely interested. We’ll find out over the next few days.
